Find A Bathroom Tile Design To Suit Your Budget

If you have decided to change the tiling in your bathroom, be prepared to choose from numerous options since you can create a bathroom tile design with multiple types of tiles in multiple patterns and colors. The key to choosing is knowing your budget, since the difference between prices can be substantial, and having a style idea in mind, probably inspired by the style of the rest of the house.

A bathroom with a modern glass tile pattern will certainly not match a home that is predominantly traditionally decorated, so think about these things before you install anything. Fortunately though, when you are doing a bathroom remodeling tile project, there are many beautiful designs for every budget, so you will be guaranteed to find something that will create a significant improvement without breaking the bank.

Bathroom Tile Design Options

Vinyl

If you are on a really fixed budget but would still like to make a change in your bathroom, vinyl tiles could fit the bill. Unlike in the past, they no longer come in large sheets but in 12 by 12 tiles, so they really do simulate an actual tile, but of course they won't last as long as ceramic. Nonetheless, you can find them in many colors to create any pattern or design you want, and most are self adhesive for easy application, so it could be the quick fix you want.

Ceramic

Ceramic tiles are the most common ones found in a bathroom, since they are very durable, easy to clean and appropriate for both the floors and walls. They also come in many colors and sizes, so when tiling, you can create a pattern using a variety of shapes and sizes.

A common design is for a solid tile to be used throughout the bathroom with a border or colorful tiles about midway up, but really with ceramic, it is all up to your creativity. Ceramic is also not very expensive, but if you need to replace one tile, it could be tricky, so be sure to keep some extra ones on hand for patch-up jobs.

Terra Cotta

If your style is more earthy and organic, terra cotta could be the type of tile you want to go with. There aren't many styles available, so you are stuck with the standard pottery style and look, and you do need to be sure to get a top quality one to avoid premature chipping, but with a high end terra cotta, you are set for life.

Marble

If you do want to go high end with your bathroom floor plans, marble is one of the most expensive options. It also requires a good deal of maintenance to prevent scratching or chipping, and it is hard to replace if need be, but it adds an instant degree of elegance to a bathroom.

Bathroom Tile Design

For a lower priced option, you could get engineered stone, which has the look of marble but at a much lower cost. It still requires a good degree of maintenance and is better for walls or a bath area than floors, but you will at least have the rich look you want without the rich price. It is usually an ideal choice when planning your master bathroom remodeling plan.

There are many options for your bathroom tile design, ranging from the very low level vinyl to the upscale marble and everything in between. You can also simulate expensive looks by going for different tiles or simply by being creative and adding some pattern to your tiles. Tiling is a very personal choice, so choose wisely and be sure it matches your home and your taste.
